Our Approach to Care and Health Information

Editorial Standards

How does Modena Health present health information?

We aim to make each medical page useful before a visit without presenting general information as a diagnosis. Content should identify the clinical question, explain what a test or treatment can and cannot establish, use plain American English, and distinguish established guidance from decisions that depend on an individual evaluation.

For medical claims, we prioritize government agencies, peer-reviewed research, and established professional organizations. Material revisions receive an updated date and source links when relevant. Provider qualifications belong on the individual profile where they can be read in context; clinic addresses and phone numbers belong in the location directory; and service availability should be confirmed with the selected office.

We do not use a “medically reviewed” label or name a reviewer unless a documented review has occurred. To request a correction, report a broken source, or flag language that may be unclear, use the contact page and include the URL and the specific passage. Educational content does not replace care from a qualified healthcare professional.

Redefining Allergy & Asthma Care

About Modena Allergy & Asthma

Modena Health evaluates and manages allergic, respiratory, and immune-related conditions for children and adults. Care may include a detailed history, examination, diagnostic testing when appropriate, shared treatment planning, and follow-up based on the patient’s diagnosis and response.

Founded by allergist and immunologist Dr. Brian Modena, the practice brings together clinicians who care for allergy, asthma, and immune-related conditions. The team uses current clinical evidence and individualized decision-making while explaining the purpose and limitations of recommended tests and treatments.
